Residence for the elderly in Terrassa
New residence on Avenida de Barcelona

The project adheres to the volumetry defined in the Urban Improvement Plan of Terrassa (PMUR).
The building consists of three volumes facing Avenida Barcelona and the streets Virgen de la Luz and Marinel·lo Bosch.
The ground floor occupies the entire surface of the plot, while the rest of the floors adhere to the limits defined in the PMUR of Terrassa, resulting in a building that has a "u" shape on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors, while the 4th and 5th floors, which only occupy the surface corresponding to the part of the building facing Av. de Barcelona, have a rectangular shape.
The building has two basement floors; the first is designated for common services of the Residence and the second is designated for parking, with access from the ground floor via Virgen de la Luz street.
The two volumes facing Virgen de la Luz and Marinel .lo Bosch streets serve as party walls with other buildings. These are the two volumes that align with the aforementioned streets and constitute the two wings of the "u"-shaped volumetry, with a height of Ground Floor + 3.
The main volume (PB + 5), the central body of the building, located on Av. de Barcelona, is the tallest and provides pedestrian access to the building.
The three bodies, starting from the first floor, define a central space that allows for the entry of light and natural ventilation, where we find the main terrace located on the first floor.
The complex consists of two more walkable terraces, located on the roofs of the lateral bodies.
The roof of the central body will be designated as a technical gallery, where most of the building's facilities will be located.
On basement level 1, you will find the general services of the residence; kitchen, laundry, storage rooms, facilities, as well as common living spaces of the residence; occupational therapy room, physiotherapy, snoezelen, and medical offices.
On the various floors, including the ground floor, there is a living unit per floor with its respective living-dining room, floor control, office, geriatric bathroom, and adapted bathrooms that allow residents to be organized according to different levels of ability.
Special attention has been given to the landscaping of the three terraces that the residence has in order to enhance the residents' connection with the outdoors.
