This publication through ACTAR Publishers presents both theoretically and practically the experience gained from the case study of the "Santander, Habitat Future" project, which outlines the model of the city of the capital of Cantabria for 2055.

A work methodology is presented, resulting from the joint efforts of LANDLAB, a landscape laboratory, and Paisaje Transversal, in which the concept of Regenerative Urbanism is introduced. This recognizes the city and the territory as part of the same framework, systems that cannot overlook the context in which they are situated, and therefore do not allow for actions to be taken in them in an isolated or fragmented manner, as it would not be successful.

This new approach aims to restore balance to the territory through systems that allow for a certain degree of adaptability and transformation; it is, therefore, an open model based on innovation and citizen participation that prepares and adapts the territory for the different scenarios that lie ahead.
