Protest against the seawalls on the beaches of La Magdalena, Santander
About 150 people are asking the mayor to stop the "barbarity" of the seawalls.
Last Sunday, around 150 people gathered to protest against the seawalls that the Ministry of Environment is building on the beaches of La Magdalena and Peligros. The installed breakwaters affect Santander's greatest resource for its citizens, its economy, and its habitability: the Bay and its landscape.
