Regional Urban Planning Regulations

The Regional Urban Planning Regulations of Cantabria are an investigation into the model of land organization to bring to light the elements and values of the region's landscape. The NUR are the planning for municipalities that do not have a plan and act in the rest of the municipalities in the region as a subsidiary of urban planning.

Its value lies in its studies and in serving as a basis for the territorial planning of the region. They also make a strong commitment to the rehabilitation of territorial heritage as well as to the incorporation of complementary agricultural activities compatible with the rural environment. A dynamic vision of the landscape, of long-term processes, of renewal, and of transformation is also incorporated. This represents a profound change compared to static and conservationist views. The NUR propose paths of reflection just as they build bridges for the management of rural territory and the natural environment.
