Miriam García participates in Ideas de Ciudad

Ideas de Ciudad is a laboratory for research, dissemination, and debate on the spatial and social transformations of the contemporary city.

by | 24/03/21

The goal is to create a city lab, an open research platform aimed at exploring the future of cities as spaces of culture and the generation of new social, technological, and innovation paradigms.

Miriam García García presents the third online conference. Looking back at the health problems of the 18th century and the dawn of urbanism, Miriam García reflects on the transformations of the contemporary city, where the goals focused on an astonishing consumption of land and resources, which has led us to an unprecedented crisis that we must address immediately through the sciences of the city.

Ideas de Ciudad is an online project for communication, reflection, and debate about the changes in metropolises and their vision for the future, where architects, urban planners, sociologists, economists, and artists, among other professionals, will participate. The project delves into the transformations of the city in recent years and is also an invitation to collectively think about the future of cities: a kaleidoscopic and multidisciplinary perspective from culture, sociology, and technology, sharing knowledge and attracting intelligence.

Ideas de Ciudad program monthly presentations with national and international experts from different fields of knowledge in which the following topics will be addressed:

- Mobility, health, and air quality

- The city of care
