The main content and objective of the Coastal Aquaculture Master Plan (PDAL) is to establish guidelines for the installation of marine farming establishments in the terrestrial zone, as well as for the expansion of existing establishments.

The plan is born with the intention of being a strategic document of a territorial nature that seeks to regulate coastal aquaculture facilities from a holistic and integrative perspective of the sector and a proposal for dynamic territory management. It does not propose specific locations, but rather serves as a framework document for considering those areas of the territory most suitable for the implementation of these activities, simultaneously taking into account the fragility of the environment and the technical requirements of the activity. It proposes a dynamic management model that analyzes at each moment the different indices that define the reception capacity and the load capacity.
