Preliminary Project

The proposed access and shop building for the Campus of the Pontifical University of Comillas is understood as a continuation of the existing perimeter stone wall, marking the access to the Campus as a crack within that large wall. The building is buried in the existing terrain so that its presence is only visible from the north front. From the upper level, it will only be visible through a series of skylights designed to bring light into the interior of the pavilion. From here, an ascending path begins to the institutional platform, where the Major Seminary is located, serving as an initiatory journey, a preparation for learning, analogous to the institutional access existing on the southern face of the complex.
